Vanilla Black

Vanilla Black (she/her) is an aspiring poet and fiction writer currently residing in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand. Her poetry is informed by observations of the ordinary. A lens which laughs at the ridiculous and seeks meaning in the mundane undergirds much of her work hoping that in turn, life’s lived contradictions might inch toward reconciliation. It is an effort to foster contentedness when the weeds are apt to grow up along with the wheat. Behind the scenes she is working toward publishing her first novel. Mr. Bennett is Vanilla Black’s favourite Jane Austen character.
